🐋 The Role

We're looking for an engineer to lead the development of our first anomaly detection pipeline for underwater hull inspection. You will work on transforming sonar point clouds into actionable information, identifying geometric deviations between scanned vessel hulls and their CAD models.

• Develop and improve a geometry-based anomaly detection pipeline using sonar point clouds.
• Reconstruct vessel hull surfaces from 3D sonar data using ROV odometry.
• Align reconstructed scans with vessel CAD models and analyze residual differences.
• Design and implement methods for clustering and scoring candidate anomalous regions.
• Build tools that allow operators to review and investigate detected anomalies.
• Contribute to the long-term evolution of the system toward AI-assisted anomaly detection and classification.
• Work independently on open-ended technical challenges and help define the architecture of the perception stack.
