🐋 The Role

We're looking for an engineer to develop and maintain the simulation environments and tooling that support the development and testing of Bubble Robotics' autonomy stack. You will work on creating realistic underwater scenarios, modeling the top vessel and tether dynamics, and enabling safe validation of navigation and planning algorithms before deployment on real systems.

• Create and iterate simulated worlds and scenarios for testing and evaluation.
• Develop and maintain simulation models for the surface vessel and tethered underwater robot.
• Implement and validate tether-aware navigation and path planning behaviors in simulation.
• Improve and run advanced testing pipelines to ensure reliable system performance.
• Build simulation environments that enable safe development and evaluation across a variety of operating conditions.
• Contribute to the transition of validated algorithms from simulation to real-world deployments.
• Work independently on open-ended technical challenges and help define the architecture of the simulation stack.
